Antonio López Díaz is a photojournalist and documentary filmmaker. He works as a freeelance and  regularly collaborates with El País producing reports and portraits focused on human rights, international cooperation, and social issues.
This work has been published in national and international media and presented at festivals such as Visa pour l’Image. He has received awards and special mentions from organizations including the Sony Photography Awards, and nominated to UNICEF Photo of the Year. López Díaz combines his professional practice with teaching photojournalism.
Director and filmmaker of multiple short and medium-length documentaries addressing social justice and cooperation issues. Films screened at international festivals including Porto Femme International Film Festival, Addis Abeba film festival and festivals in Europe, Africa and Latin America.

The Olympic Team is also a photographic project that has received an International Sony Photo Award from the World Photography Organization, has been nominated for UNICEF’s Photo of the Yearhas been screened at the Visa Pour l’Image International Festival of Photojournalism and has attracted coverage from some of the world’s leading media outlets. It is also a photography exhibition that will begin its journey at the end of 2026.
