Cuninico is a community from the Peruvian amazon, which since last June has been affected by the spillage caused by a rupture in the North Peruvian oil pipeline by the Company Petroperu. The spillage expanded with the coming of the rainy season and over-spilled the containment barriers. For the community water is immeasurably important because they use the river water in daily life and it is contaminated. The people suffer disease and nutritional problems. The people have paid for water sample tests whilst the Company and the government hide the report.
